Wayne Pratt, a beloved individual known affectionately as "Leprechaun," has passed away on August 28, 2023. He was a respected member of the Firestone and Pepboys communities, dedicating his career to working on various types of vehicles. Wayne possessed an unwavering passion for mechanics, which shone through in every task he undertook.

Born on October 24, 1951, Wayne spent his formative years in New Jersey. He received his education in the state's public school system, culminating in his graduation from Paulsboro High School. Wayne's commitment to learning and personal growth served as an inspiration to those around him.

In addition to his mechanical prowess, Wayne had a zest for life and a vibrant personality that left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He found joy in activities such as dancing and became a master of numchucks. His enthusiasm was infectious, and he could often be found sharing laughter and lightheartedness with friends and family.

One of the passions that fueled Wayne's adventurous spirit was racing. He thrived in the thrill of competition and garnered numerous accolades throughout his life, including memorable victories at Atco Speedway. The roar of engines and the exhilaration of speed were testaments to Wayne's skill and dedication on the race track.

Wayne's witty character was accompanied by a favorite saying: "Who are you?" This playful remark became synonymous with his humorous nature and added to the warm memories cherished by those who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Family held great significance in Wayne's life. He leaves behind a sibling cohort consisting of Delores Brosgdale, Ronald Williams, Deborah Sumpter, Tracy Williams Sr., Renee Johnson, and Anthony Williams. Wayne is also survived by his children Teyaka Pratt, Wayne Taylor, Jermaine Pratt, and Gloria Taylor-Matthews. In the hearts of his loved ones, Wayne's memory will forever shine bright.

Furthermore, he was cherished by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who were touched by his kindness and vibrant spirit.


Preceded in death by his father William H. Williams, mother Sarah Tribbitt, siblings June Pratt, Robert Pratt, John Williams, Eleanor Williams.

 
Outside of his professional endeavors and hobbies, Wayne found solace in building cars and spending quality time with his family. These activities allowed him to express his creativity and bring joy to those around him.

Wayne Pratt may no longer be physically present among us, but the memories he left behind will continue to brighten our lives. He will forever be celebrated for his dedication to the automotive industry and his unwavering passion for mechanics. With a heart full of love and a spirit full of joy, Wayne impacted the lives of many. May he rest in peace knowing that he made a lasting impact on this world.
