April 3, 1991 — August 20, 2022

Glassboro

Hola,

My life began on April 3, 1991 when I was born unto the beautiful Juanita and handsome Collin McPherson. They say I was the sunshine of their lives, ever notice my bright beautiful smile?

From the beginning, I was destined to bring joy to all who met me! As a child I loved dancing, cheering, playing soccer, basketball, and T-ball. Who would have thought that GOD had placed a calling of such Love and Compassion on my life.

Can you believe that my parents loved me so much, they gave me a best friend, only 14 months after my birth, a brother Sean- Gosh darn it!

Well, God, I guess with him I had to learn the meaning of Love and caring for others. Thanks!

As I began to grow in life I attended Aura Elementary School. I then excelled and graduated in 2009 from Delsea Regional High School where I served as Varsity Captain of the cheerleading squad.  That’s when I truly learned the meaning of Walking It Out!

Above all I gave my life back to GOD and was baptized at New Life in Christ Ministries under Bishop Simmons.  Here in church is where I realized that my smile and caring personality could change all who met me. In church I love fellowshipping with the members, participating in youth activities, groups and Praise dancing.

Oh how a smile and dance can change any atmosphere! I lived a life worth living and the Fact that God’s blessing was on my life meant everywhere I went everyone I met turned into friends. I wanted everyone to know that life is hard but with a smile and encouragement things will turn around.

Then here came the love of my life! …Kasiy… Little Girl, Little Girl, YOU ARE THE APPLE OF MY EYE, and GOD’s greatest gift to my life!

I worked various jobs but loved working at Rowan University during summers and meeting amazing people. I continued my career by joining McKesson where I worked for 6 years. So many people in McKesson became part of my family. During my time there I went back to School and became an LPN, graduating in 2020. Furthering my education allowed me to join the Virtua Home Care family where I worked as the staffing coordinator.

Now look at GOD! What a life to live! Can you believe I’m blessed to have 7 cousins who are like brothers and sisters to me? Lamar Reyes (Ramona), Liyetta (Joseph) Smith, Richard Ford, MaeAna Ford, Aaron Reyes, Anéa Cook and John (Willie) McPherson. My girls Patricia (Patty Rae) Holsey, Chantel Ewart, Jelisa Ransom, Gianna Gordy, Amanda Perez, Tiffani Kersey, and Kelsey Hill. Hezekiyah Luster. You all were there in the good times, bad times, and the happy and the sad times, Just having you there made the difference.  I Thank you!

Now I know this is not easy for any of you! But give me a minute! I have a few things to say to those who loved me the most:

Grandma: I know this is hard, but GOD sits high and looks low. I now leave all your shopping and errand running to all your grandchildren.  They Got us!

Aunties and Uncles: Gerry (Sam) Jackson, Sherry Reyes, Nicole (Wayne) Earl- you all have been like second parents to me. Take care of Mom, Sean, Collin Jr., Kasiy and each other.

My Brother Collin Jr. - I wish I had more time with you.  Please take care of Sean and the family.

My Bro Sean- Continue to keep your head up and be strong! Take care of my nephew Sean Jr., and my fur babies. When you feel the weight of my absence is too much to bear, read all my text messages and remember Little BUSTER, I LOVE YOU!

Mom: I know this caught you by surprise. A mother’s love is unmatched. Just think of your sunshine and there will be smiles through the tears. Your constant prayers, love, and willingness to always support me in life is what made me the woman and mother I am. THANK YOU AND I LOVE YOU! I know my greatest treasure will forever be safe in your arms. Mr. William thank you for always standing by and loving my Mom, please hold onto her while she navigates this difficult chapter.

Kasiy- Little Girl, I know this is hard. You are my greatest accomplishment, my reason and my why.  When your days and nights become long and you miss me, look to the sky for there you will find me. I will never leave you alone! I LOVE YOU! Mervin, please help mom take care of her and guide her.

Mrs. Carol, Mrs. Audrey and Theresa please take care of Rae-Rae and my god-baby

To my abundance of friends and extended family that are too many to list. Please continue to love on and pray and care for my family and for each other

The apostle Paul said in 2nd Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race and I have remained faithful”.

August 20th, 2022 was the day I had to leave you! I know I couldn’t say goodbye, for that was the day GOD said it was time to Dance my way up to Heaven.  He saved the last dance for my dad, my hero, and my friend. GOD said all those who you have met you have shown my mercy and my grace, come rest with your dad, Grandmother Mary and Pop-Pop Willie and Uncle Sam.

Now smile at the friend sitting next to you!

Until we Wobble together again…..My marathon, my life and my legacy will continue through my family, friends and those whose lives I touched.

Love y’all

Shaneira
