Miriam Gonzalez

August 23, 1964 — October 13, 2023

Camden

Miriam Gonzalez, also emphatically known as “Tatita”, peacefully departed this earthly realm at
the age of 59, on the 13th of October 2023 in Camden, NJ. She was in the comforting presence
of her loving family, as she transitioned to join the eternal embrace of God. Miriam was born on
August 23, 1964, in Manhattan, New York relocating to Camden, NJ in the early 70’s with her
parents Ignacio (deceased) and Elena Montanez.

Beloved Trophy Wife of Reuben Gonzalez and devoted mother to her girls. Miriam is
predeceased by her brother Hector and survived by a multitude of cherished family members.
Siblings; Yvette (Juan), Ricky, Yvonne, and Jessica. Her children; Melissa, Melanie, Moochie
(Pete), Alysha, Vannessa, Kristi and her bonus daughter Jessica. Her surviving relatives extend
to a host of grieving but loving Grandkids, Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and
Friends. She also leaves behind her treasured ‘By the Mercy and Grace of God’ Survivor family.
The legacy of Miriam will live on through how strongly she loved her family but most importantly
God!! She was tiny but she was mighty and her faith gave her unbelievable strengths. She
would face many battles that would cause most people to shy away from life or break down. Not
Miriam!! When faced with the diagnosis of stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer she armored up
without fear. She was an 8 year survivor and never backed down from her trust in God. Despite
all she faced on the battlefield she thanked God daily and birthed her ‘By The Mercy and Grace
of God’ Survivors group to provide support and a safe space for those in different levels of their
own battles. She was never shy about her love for God and even in her last days her passion
for blessing others showed through. She was able to host one last Cancer Survivor dinner and
passed peacefully days later first providing reassurance she was ready and knew exactly where
she was going. She has not lost her battle but won her peace and now has her wings. May
Miriam’s memory continue to inspire us all to live our lives with boundless Faith, God in our
hearts, and love in our soul By the Mercy and Grace of God! “To Infinite And Beyond”
