Marlon Mone Sherman

February 23, 1965 — May 31, 2023

Camden

Marlon Charles Sherman was born on February 23, 1965 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Daniel Sherman and Eurelene Whaley. On May 31, 2023, Marlon was called home to be with the Lord at the young age of 58.

Marlon, better known as “Mone” graduated from Woodrow Wilson, receiving his High School diploma.  Soon after, he went to a truck school to better himself for his family.  Mone was the true definition of a real friend.  He would give you the shirt off his back. He had a heart of gold and loved deeply.

Mone married his best friend and wife Kim Sherman in 2015 that he loved wholeheartedly.  He loved making people laugh with his “not so funny” jokes.

Playing Spades at his brother Earl’s house was one of his many things he enjoyed.  NCIS and Chicago Fire were his favorite TV shows, sitting on his favorite recliner. We all believed Michael Jackson was his long lost brother.  He knew every song and every dance.  When Mone got on the floor, he wouldn’t stop dancing until he was swiping sweat to the floor.  Even though he was born in Philadelphia, he was a diehard Dallas Cowboy fan.  He had it bad from his home, his car and even the clothes he wore. When the Eagles played, it was over.  He took his Team serious. They would say when the last time y’all won a Super Bowl was.  He would say and how many rings do y’all have.

Mone will truly and deeply be missed.

Preceded in his death was his loving Mother Eurelene Whaley, caring Father Daniel Sherman, mother-in-law Janet Stevens, brother Marvin Sherman, 2 sisters Sharon Sherman and Eunice Waters, brother-in-law Leroy Wyckoff  and his precious grandbaby William Bernard IV.

Left to cherish his memory; his wife Kim Sherman, daughters Angel, April, Marlena, Shante’ and Sierra; Sons, Aaron, Shawn, Marlon and Randy;  one (1) son-in-law William and one (1) daughter-in-law Syeritta; granddaughters Avari, Emeree,

Jaliyah, Zari, Tatiana, Kenya, Emilyelizabeth, Uriah, Jahya, Zuri; grandsons Nasir, Hayden, DeVonte, and Da’Jour; Godson Joshseir; three brothers Antonio Sherman (Felicia Sherman), Earl Whaley (Munchie) and baby brother Trevin Whaley; two

sisters Sonya Tinker (Oswald), and Sabrina Campbell (Eric Campbell); sisters-in-law Janice, Anna, Terry, Lisa, Nichole and Charmesa; father-in-law James Wyckoff Sr., (Marva), brother-in-law James Wyckoff Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Rev. 14:13 Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labor; and their works do follow them.
