Margaret turned her life to God and Christ and became a deaconess at Healing Word Christian Center. After turning her life to God and Christ, she spent a lot of time at church along with her husband.

In addition, Margaret enjoyed fishing with her husband and working together with him to feed people who were in need of food. She was very supportive of others during their time of need. Margaret enjoyed singing her favorite songs, listening to gospel music, watching cowboy movies, and drinking her fresh black coffee. Her favorite music artist was Michael Jackson. Margaret was an Eastern Star member for many years.
