Lillian Lugo, a devoted and compassionate soul, peacefully passed away on November 17, 2023, at Cooper Hospital in Camden, NJ. She was born on September 9, 1973, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden to her parents Susano Lugo and Perfecta Morales Lugo (Tita).
Lillian's life was filled with love and care for others. For two decades, she dedicated herself to serving the community as an employee of the 2nd Avenue Thrift Superstore in Pennsauken, NJ. Her commitment to her work and the people around her was unparalleled.
Though she found fulfillment in her career, Lillian's true joy came from spending time with her family. Cherished memories were created during those special moments together. Whether it was cooking a delicious meal or enjoying the company of loved ones, Lillian savored every second spent with her family.
In her free time, Lillian indulged in various hobbies and interests. Shopping brought her great pleasure as she hunted for unique treasures and bargains. She had an undeniable passion for music that resonated deep within her soul. Collecting Angels, taking care of all her plants.
Lillian also embraced opportunities for adventure and excitement. Wildwood and Atlantic City were two destinations she frequented to enjoy the lively atmosphere surrounding the coastal towns. Exploring the boardwalks, feeling the ocean breeze on her face, and making lasting memories were some of her fondest experiences.
During all these endeavors, Lillian's caring nature shone through brightly. She had an innate ability to empathize with others' needs and was always there to lend a helping hand or offer support. Taking care of others was one of her proudest accomplishments—one that will forever be remembered by all who knew her.
Lillian is survived by a loving family who will dearly miss her presence in their lives. She leaves behind her mother, Perfecta Morales Lugo (Tita); her siblings Lucy, Maria, Carlos, Freddie, Julie, David, and June; her children Vanessa Cruz (Mama) and Isreal Lugo (Bebe); her daughter-in-law Natalia Ubarry (Nana), daughter Marielys Morales (Lully); son Michael Cruz (Mickey); and her grandchildren Sylus, Nylah, Zage Lugo, and Ny'yessa Graham. Preceded in death by her father Susano Lugo and brother Juan.
Additionally, Lillian leaves behind a circle of dear friends who became family throughout the years. Among them are her close friends Booboo of 35 plus years and Angela. She also shared a long-term relationship with Luis Sanchez (Danny) that brought mutual love and companionship into their lives.
In the hearts of Lillian's loved ones remain warm memories of an extraordinary woman whose love knew no bounds. Her legacy will continue to live on through the nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and even her beloved pet cat.
Lillian Lugo—her name alone evokes memories of love, kindness, and an indomitable spirit. As we gather to celebrate her life, let us remember the joy she brought into our lives and cherish the everlasting imprint she left on our hearts. In our sadness, may we find solace in the knowledge that Lillian's spirit continues to watch over us, guiding us with her eternal love.
