Leroy Church

Leroy Church, Jr. was born to the late Belma Artis Church and Leroy Church, Sr. in Millville, New Jersey on April 24, 1954.  He accepted the Master’s call on November 14, 2022.

    Leroy was a lifelong resident of Vineland, New Jersey. He attended the area School Systems. In the early 1970’s, he met the love of his life, Beverly Phillips and to this union, three (3) children were born. He worked at Arthur Rann Middle School as a Custodian, while also working in Construction. 
    Leroy will be affectionately known for his love for Christ, his Family and Music. Leroy could play many instruments and could be heard singing or humming. He played in several bands from high school and into adulthood.  Leroy would teach children in the neighborhood how to play various instruments.  He had a love for basketball. As the shortest man on the team he would jump over other players in the game.  
    He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter and son-in-law Salena Phillips-Hayman and Clarence Hayman from Georgia, daughter Syreeta Phillips and son Torrie Phillips, Florida; five (5) Sisters; ten (10) grandchildren; three (3) great grandchildren, three (3) godchildren, a host of family and friends.
