Leonard J. Matusieski of Westville NJ, age 57, passed away peacefully on August 3rd, 2022 surrounded by his family.
Lenny was a graduate of Pennsauken High School, class of 1983, and served in the Navy afterwards.
Lenny loved being "Uncle Lenny" to his niece and nephew Amberly and Christopher. He really enjoyed making them laugh by acting goofy with his silly dances while listening to music together. As much as he loved listening to music he also enjoyed making music with his brothers Chris and Joe.
Pinochle was the family game and he was one of the best! He also loved being a great uncle to his great niece and nephew Jaylynn and Jayden. He would always play games with them and helped them grow. He was known for giving the kids in the family nick-names such as P.I.T.A (Amberly and Jaylynn) and Shmuckboy (Christopher and Jayden).
Lenny loved watching sci-fi shows, particularly Star Trek. He spent years collecting figurines and Star Trek themed items. Lenny was the “handyman”. He was an electrician and fixed up anything he saw that needed “fixin,”.
Lenny had a such a creative mind. When he was younger, he built an entire model train room. He created everything from scratch, from building tiny houses and people to sculpting mountains by hand for the scenery around the electric train. He spent his life dedicated to his family. He was a phenomenal man and was very much loved by those around him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Helen and nephew Joseph. He is survived by his brothers Christopher (Susann) and Joseph, his niece Amberly (Jay), his nephews Christopher and Zachary, and great nephew Jayden and great niece Jaylynn.
He is at peace and will be dearly missed.
