Beloved Jorge Luis Gonzalez, also known to family as ”Jior” and to friends as “8 Pote”, has sadly passed on Tuesday July 25th, 2023 at the age of 50 years old in Camden New Jersey 

Jorge is survived by his four children, Joel, Erica, Victoria, and Jorge his three grandchildren Tristian and Annalise, and Lyla; his mother Olga Centeno along with stepfather Wilfredo Vicente and father Jorge Gonzalez; his siblings Maribel, Larissa, Dwarixta, Fredito, Georgina, Brenda, Lumary, Norma, Kethy, John and Jorge he was predeceased by his brother Agustin.

Jorge was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on August 20th 1972. He was raised in Manuel A. Perez Residential in Puerto Rico and at the age of 12 he moved to Camden, NJ, where he continued on to graduate as part of  Camden high school's class of 1991. He was a man of many talents. He was great with painting, loved to clean, and could cook you a memorable meal. He was well known for his acts of service, reliable hard work, and his dedication to people. He helped in any way he could. Be it through cleaning, cooking, mowing the lawn, or detailing a car, Jorge was always there to lend a helping hand, a listening ear, and a word of prayer.

Jorge, a huge lover of sports, always woke up to his ESPN. He always said his idol was Michael Jordan of the Chicago Bulls, but he never failed to remind the world that his heart belonged to his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. He had a love for freestyle and reggaeton music and is well-known by many for selling CDs all over Camden to Philadelphia in the early 2000s.

Jorge was a God-fearing man that was looking for the right path in life. To all those that knew him, he never failed to greet you with a “God bless you”. He was a persistent father, a loving son, a caring brother, a thoughtful uncle, and a devoted friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

 

El amado Jorge Luis González, también conocido por la familia como "Jior" y por los amigos como "8 Pote", falleció tristemente el martes 25 de julio de 2023 a la edad de 50 años en Camden, Nueva Jersey.

 

A Jorge le sobreviven sus cuatro hijos, Joel, Erica, Victoria y Jorge sus tres nietos Tristian y Annalise y Lyla; su madre Olga Centeno y padrastro Wilfredo Vicente y padre Jorge González; sus hermanos Maribel, Larissa, Dwarixta, Fredito, Georgina, Brenda, Lumary, Norma, Kethy, John y George; fue antecedido en muerte por su hermano Agustin.

 

Jorge nació en San Juan, Puerto Rico el 20 de agosto de 1972. Se crió en Puerto Rico y a la edad de 12 años se mudó a Camden, NJ, donde continuó hasta graduarse como parte de la clase de 1991 de la escuela secundaria Camden High School. Era un hombre de muchos talentos, que era bueno con la pintura, amaba limpiar y podía prepararle una comida deliciosa. Era un hombre  bien conocido por sus actos de servicio y trabajo confiable. Ayudó en todo lo que pudo, ya sea limpiando, cocinando, cortando la grama o incluso detallando un automóvil. Siempre estuvo ahí para dar la mano, su confiansa y una oracion.

 

Jorge era amante de los deportes y siempre despertaba con su ESPN. Siempre dijo que su ídolo era Michael Jordan de los Chicago Bulls, pero nunca dejó de recordarle al mundo que su corazón pertenecía a su equipo de fútbol favorito, los Dallas Cowboys. Le encantaba la música de “freestyle” y reggaeton y es bien conocido por vender CD en todos lados, desde Camden hasta Phiiladelphia, a principios de la década de 2000.

 

 Jorge era un hombre temeroso de Dios que buscaba el camino correcto en la vida. A todos los que lo conocieron nunca dejó de saludarlos con un “Dios los bendiga”. Era un padre que trato de ser todo por sus hijos. Era un hijo amoroso, un hermano cariñoso, un tío considerado y un amigo devoto. Te amaremos y extranaremos siempre y lo recordaremos por todos sus virtudes
