Jahzara Sanchez

January 1, 2005 — March 15, 2024

Camden

Jahzara Brielle Sanchez, affectionately known as Jazzy, was born on January 1, 2005, in Reading, Pennsylvania. An ambitious and resilient spirit, Jazzy brought an irrepressible joy that touched everyone she met. Her unique blend of dedication, ambition, and humor was a beacon of light that inspired everyone around her. Her radiant smile and infectious laughter were the soundtrack of her life and will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Jazzy was a devoted member of the Pentecostal church where she used her voice to glorify God, often leading the congregation in songs of praise. Reflecting on the words of Psalm 28:7, "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him," Jazzy found solace and strength in her faith. She was a dedicated student and was proud to receive her high school diploma in June 2023. She had an unwavering commitment to her education and a dream of a future career in the medical field. Her love for video games, cats, music, and selfies showed her playful side and her ability to find joy in the simple pleasures of life.

Jazzy leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience. She is survived by her father, Jose Sanchez and step-mother, Cassandra; her grandmother, Isabel Ortiz; her uncles Marcos, Luis, Samuel, Daniel, and Jesus; her aunts Migdalia, Maria, Evelise, Melinda, Nilvia, and Nicole; her step-siblings Alessandra, Alek, Alexander, Adrianna, and Ariella; and her many loving cousins. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Miriam Acevedo; her grandfather, Marcos Sanchez; her brother, Orlando Rodriguez; her second-cousin, Sebastiano Sanchez, and her great aunt, Marta Sanchez.

We invite all of those who knew and loved Jahzara to visit her memorial page. Please share your memories, stories, and photos, as we remember her life and celebrate the beautiful soul that was Jazzy. Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all those she touched.
