Dewonne Theodore Holmes, also known as “Wonnie” by family and friends was born to Charlene Dana Shuler and Jeffrey Michael Holmes on October 29, 1990 in Syracuse, New York.
Dewonne grew up in Willingboro, New Jersey where he attended Garfield Elementary School. He received his diploma from Cinnaminson High School. In 2010 he went to Burlington County College and majored in Engineering. At a young age he accepted the Lord as His Savior.
Dewonne played in the School Band as a Drummer, later he found his passion in making music and beats. He enjoyed skate boarding, riding his bike and spending time with his family. He worked multiple jobs, his most recent job was construction. Dewonne’s life ended too soon, but his spirit will forever live through his children and love ones. He was such a sweet, loving, free spirited momma’s boy.
Dewonne is survived by his parents, Charlene Shuler and Jeffrey Holmes; two beloved sons DaiJon Dunlap Holmes and Jaidyn Dunlap Holmes; four brothers, Shawn, Anton, Kadar, and Ahseem; four sisters, Shata, Tiffany, Felicia and Indigo; great nieces and nephews; Azurri, Syncere and Serenity; his grandmother, Sarah L. Holmes of Delanco, NJ; the Porter family; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles. Cousins and friends.
Dewonne is predeceased by his Sister, Olivia Shuler; maternal grandmother and grandfather, Roslyn Shuler and Charles LeCato; Aunt Cynthia Perry; Cousin Lakesha Holmes; and paternal grandfather Samuel Holmes.
