Cornelio Figueroa Jr.

–

Camden, New Jersey

It is with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to Cornelio "Kiko" Figueroa, a man who made the world a little brighter with his humor, generosity, loyalty, and compassion. Born on December 7, 1973, in Camden, NJ, he lived his 52 years with the vibrancy of a thousand Philadelphia Eagles games, which, incidentally, he loved to watch. His contagious laughter and knack for making others smile was outmatched only by his ability to fix a flat tire or build a bookshelf, proving that, in addition to everything else, he was Camden's own Bob the Builder.

Cornelio was a forklift operator by trade, but his true talents lay in the hearts he touched and the smiles he inspired. His generosity knew no bounds, and he was known to give you the shirt off his back, or at the very least, lend you his favorite Eagles cap. He was a devoted son, a loyal brother, a doting father, and a reliable friends.

He is survived by a loving family who adored him. His mother, Barbara Pike, his siblings; Juanita (Paul) Steudler, Miguel Díaz, Teresa Pike, Ana Figueroa, Maurice Figueroa, Carmen (Jay) Díaz-Acevedo, and Antonio Figueroa, his children; Michael Medina, Monica (Tyleer) Brown, and Jonathan Figueroa; and ex-wife, Deborah Velez. He was preceded in death by his brother, José Fuchs.

Cornelio's laughter will echo in our hearts, and his generosity will continue to inspire us. As Charlie Chaplin once said, "A day without laughter is a day wasted," and thanks to Cornelio, none of us have ever had to experience such a day.

We invite you to share your memories and photos of Cornelio on his memorial page. Let us celebrate his life by remembering the joy he brought into ours.
