Charlene Whitehead was born in Camden, NJ on November 28, 1961, to Loretta Daniels and the late Kenneth Johns Sr. Charlene is preceded in death by her uncle Harold Bradley, and two sisters Lawanda Johns and Theresa Roberts.
She was the loving mother of one child Kyisha Colvin, which whom she shared a special bond. When you seen one you were bound to see the other.
Charlene was educated in the Camden City School District where she obtained her high school diploma. Upon finishing her education, she embarked on a career in customer service. She enjoyed her career and was known to always put a smile on someone’s face. She loved her job at Sam’s Club where her coworkers became like a second family to her.
Charlene enjoyed helping support her grandchildren and great grandchild. She attended every event whether it was near or far. Charlene enjoyed church, dancing, reading, and going to cabarets. She loved them so much that she joined “Sisterhood of Colors” and started creating cabarets of her own.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Robert Whitehead, Daughter Kyisha Colvin (Fray), sister Tonya Money, two brothers Kenneth Johns Jr., and Anthony Beverly. one goddaughter Kaniyah Quinones, two grandchildren De’Onna Redd and Denirah Jones, great granddaughter Kamari Dawson. A loving nephew-son Phillip Davis (Chante) along with a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, great nieces, great nephews, and a host of loved ones and friends.
