Bobbie Lee Stubbs, Sr. was born to the late Roosevelt Stubbs and Ada Mae Blackshear Stubbs in Belle Glades Florida. On May 7, 2023, Bobbie Lee Stubbs, Sr. (also known as the (Po Boi) departed his life.
Bobbie was a lifelong resident of Bridgeton, NJ, and graduated from Bridgeton School System. He was previously married to the late Margie Flood Miller. To this union five children were born: Bobby, Jr. Marie, Dereck, Shannon and Brian.
Bobbie was previously employed by Clam Boat, and Minots of Bridgeton. The Po Boi loved his family. He also loved fishing, singing, dancing and playing his favorite card game, Pinochle with Frankie, Dudley, Randy, and the late Dougie Butler. He also loved listening to his music – Manhattans (Kiss and Say Goodbye) and Al Green (Funny How Time Slips Away). Also spending time with his Companion the late Barbara Johnson, and hanging out with his sons Bobby, Jr., and Bay.
Bobbie was always the life of the party. He would say something or do something to make you laugh out your seat. He also was a loving and caring person. He would do anything for anyone. Although he has physically left us, his spirit will always be with us.
Bobbie leaves to cherish his memory, his nine (9) children, Sons, Bobby, Jr. Dereck, Shannon, Michael, and Brian Stubbs; Daughters, Marie Stubbs, Deisha Rhett, and Denice Soudler; his God Son, Anthony McIver, One (1) brother, Eddie Lee Stubbs of Bridgeton, NJ; two Sisters, Jeanette (Eugene) Watford of Newfield, NJ, and Merldean Stubbs Smith of Bridgeton, NJ; thirty-five (35) Grandkids; twenty-four (24) Great Grandkids; and a host of nieces and nephews, besides his parents. He was predeceased by his Son Jermaine Stubbs, brothers Roosevelt, Zebedee, Robert Lee, Rayford, Alvin, Claude, Timmie, Tommie, and Henry Stubbs; one grandson Rakeem Stubbs.
His Spirit will always be with us!
