Amos Brooks

August 2, 1964 — January 30, 2024

Camden

Amos George Brooks, affectionately known to family and friends as Big Al, journeyed to his eternal home on January 30, 2024. Born on August 2, 1964, in Salem, NJ, he was a true testament to the values of love, humility, and generosity. With a heart as big as his personality, Big Al had a unique way of leaving lasting imprints on the hearts of those he encountered. His compassionate spirit, coupled with his witty sense of humor, made him a beacon of light in the lives of many.

For 20 years, Amos was a self employed auto detailer in Camden, New Jersey, where he lived for the majority of his 59 years. His humble beginnings in Salem and Swedesboro, NJ, never deterred him from pursuing his dreams. Instead, they provided the foundation for his values and his drive. Known for his meticulous attention to detail and his unwavering commitment to providing top-notch service, he was not just a businessman but a cherished member of his community. Yet, despite his accomplishments, Amos remained a gentle and humble soul who would give his last to anyone in need.

Family was the axis around which Big Al's world revolved. He was a devoted father, a doting grandfather, a loving nephew, a caring uncle, and a supportive cousin and friend. His love for his family was as boundless as his faith in Jesus Christ, his Savior. In the words of the Bible, "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends" (John 15:13). This verse encapsulates the essence of Amos' life – his selfless love for his family, his friends, and his community
