Alfred “Dog” Gardner Giles, Jr. was born on July 08, 1950 to Late Alfred Norman Giles, Sr. and Thelma Mae Giles of Camden, NJ. He passed away on February 10, 2023.
Alfred was educated by the Camden school district, Graduate of Camden High School. He held multiple jobs where he worked at Campbell Soup. Before being called home, he did Janitorial work for McKoy Law, King and King Law Firms. He was good friends with Bert Ortiz and as Tamika McKoy, Stan King, and Troy Archie would say, he was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Alfred “Dog” was quiet and stayed to himself. Alfred “Dog” was one of the best dressed around, a smooth operator. He taught his younger brother Troy how to dress and gave him his first pair of lizards “shoes”.
He was a drifter. He liked to move around a lot. He didn’t talk much, but got straight to the point. His favorite line from his mother Thelma was “common sense makes sense”.
Alfred leaves to cherish his memories, children, Ryan G. Horcey, Braheem Giles “predeceased”, Ashley K. Horcey; grandchildren Ron Naesia, Mi’son, Kanira, Kyheim, Kaniyah, Kahnas, Khamani and Kamyah. Followed by his sisters, Janovia Carpenter, Thelma Giles “Predeceased”, Roxanne Moody, Sandy Giles, Courtina Giles; Brothers, Derrick Jackman, Anderson Giles “Predeceased”, Cameron Giles, Troy Giles, and Parrish Giles. He has a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He leaves a close sister/friend Doris Pritchett.
